Cancellation and Refund Policy

Our home chefs procure the ingredients only after your order is placed ( “ Order”) and the meals are freshly prepared with lots of effort taken by home chefs from their home kitchen.

We sincerely hope you appreciate and support the efforts taken by these home chefs and share your feedback with us - as it matters to us!

Cancellation Policy:

  1. Customer initiated cancellation:
  • There is a cut-off time for both lunch and dinner ( “ Customer cut off time”) i.e. the maximum time till when, you as a customer can pre-order a meal from a home chef or can cancel a meal which was pre-order earlier.
  • Customer cut off time:
  1. Customer cut off time for lunch is of one day prior to order delivery day, maximum until 12 pm
  2. Customer cut off time for dinner is one day prior to order delivery day, maximum until 4 pm

 Example: You placed an order for a meal on 1st July’21 and selected a meal to be delivered for 5th July. For unforeseen circumstances, if you need to cancel the order, you can do so maximum by 4th july before 12 pm (in case you pre-ordered lunch) and before 4pm ( in case you ordered dinner)

  • Cancellation within Customer cut off time:
  1. If a customer cancels the order within Customer cut off time, the entire order amount will be refunded to their payment instrument used during placing order and the same shall reflect within 5-7 working days.
  • Cancellation beyond Customer cut off time:
  1. If a customer cancels an order beyond Customer cut off time, no refund will be provided at all i.e. there will be 100% penalty.

Ghar Ki Yaad reserves the right to deny any refund to customers who initiated order cancellation within Customer cut off time, as may be necessary in the sole discretion of Ghar Ki Yaad.

  1. Non-customer-initiated cancellation: 0% of order amount will be refunded
  • Ghar Ki Yaad will not provide any refund for the Orders constrained to be cancelled by Ghar Ki Yaad for reasons not attributable to Ghar Ki Yaad, including but not limited to:
    1. In the event of failure to contact the customer on their registered mobile no. despite multiple attempts by Ghar Ki Yaad or its delivery partners at time of delivering the order, to facilitate the delivery of the order.
    2. In the event if the delivery address provided by customer location is not accessible/access not given to delivery partner to customers building/could not be located by our delivery partner/address provided by customer is incorrect/lack of information, direction or authorization from customer at time of order delivery
    3. In the event if at time of delivery, the customer is not present at delivery address/does not authorize delivery partner to keep the order at the delivery address or at building gate in their absence.

Refund Policy:

  • In the event if the chef did not accept your order or the chef is unavailable to fulfil your order on a given date, the customer will be entitled for upto 100% refund of the order amount.
  • In the event of unavailability of the items ordered by customer at the time of booking the Order : In the unlikely event of an item in an Order being unavailable, Ghar Ki Yaad will contact the customer on the registered mobile number at the time of placing the Order and inform the customer of such unavailability. In such an event customers will be entitled to cancel the entire Order and shall be entitled to a refund to an amount up to 100% of the Order value.
  • In the event of packaging of an item in an order i.e. either tampered or damaged at the time of delivery, the customer will be entitled for a refund of proportionate value only on a case to case basis, post proper review by the Ghar Ki yaad team.
  • In the event of an item missing vis-a-vis what was originally asked for during the placement of the Order the customer will be entitled for a refund of proportionate value only on a case-to-case basis, post proper review by the Ghar Ki yaad team.
  • Any refund will be initiated back to the customer payment instrument used at the time of placing respective order and the amount should be credited back within 5-7 working days.
  • At any time or in any case, refund will not exceed the total value of the Order.

Ghar Ki Yaad reserves the right to deny any refunds, for reasons other than mentioned above or in a manner as deemed fit by Ghar Ki Yaad in its sole discretion.
